Megan has been recognized with several individual awards and scholarships at local and provincial dance festivals and competitions. Megan has received the Kaye and G.R. Rowe Runner Up Scholarship and twice been awarded the S.H. Butterfield Memorial Trophy for senior ballet at the Brandon Festival of the Arts. Dance Manitoba provincial awards include the Investor’s Group National Scholarship to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and most recently a 2012 Dance Manitoba senior ballet scholarship for her “Esmeralda Variation.”
Her Brandon Dance Ensemble major production credits include the role of Clara in The Nutcracker, andAliceinAliceand Wonderland. Megan Jersak began her classical ballet training with Barbara Ehnes at the Brandon School of Dance in 2001. Summer auditions at The National Ballet School and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet led to two years of full time dance training in The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division. Megan returned toBrandonin the fall of 2010 to study ballet and flamenco with Kelly Lumbard at the Brandon School of Dance. Megan is currently a student atVincentMasseyHigh School.
