The Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival has become an important part of Canada’s cultural calendar, delighting people of all ages with a powerful musical experience. This year’s festival, held from July 12th to July 16th, under the artistic direction of pianists Alexander Tselyakov and Daniel Tselyakov, features six musically rich concerts, two of which are jazz-oriented. The four classical recitals are well-programmed with variety, with Alexander himself, and his talented pianist son Daniel, collaborating with violinist Oleg Pokhanovski, clarinetist Peter Stoll, cellist Brian Yoon and others in music ranging from Bach, Beethoven to Prokofiev, Chopin and Liszt to Rachmaninoff; Bartok, Britten and Srul Irving Glick, all of which only enhance the natural beauty of Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba, where the festival takes place.
